Kent Tamang Hyulba is a community of Tamang people here in Kent, UK. One of our main aims is to celebrate our important festival, Sonam Lochhar, in the proper way every year. To make sure we do this, and to keep our community strong and thriving, we’ve been working hard to put clear guidelines and procedures in place.

On 19th January  2023, our coordinator team and general members meeting at the Lemon Leaf in Folkestone Kent. During this meeting, we officially adopted our community’s Constitution, started keeping formal Minutes of our meetings.On 20th December 2024 agreed to set up a Community Bank Account with Metro Bank Then, on 7th February  2024, we had another important meeting at Gurkha Villa, Ashford Kent. This time, we focused on how we select our coordinator (Coordinator Nomination Process), adding a formal process to make sure things stay fair. All of this—The constitution, the bank account, the selection process—is about making Kent Tamang Hyulba a safe, fair, and transparent community for everyone.
